So, I was a little late to the party on this one. But, I'm totally #sorrynotsorry. It was worth the wait, and better late than never--right? This box is packed with green beauty greatness and I'm grateful to get to share it with you! Lets discover together...
This box was curated by none other than the lovely Kristen Arnett, celebrity makeup artist & green beauty pioneer, and founder of the Green Beauty Team--another great resource for anyone looking to make the switch to cleaner beauty.
I was excited to see what the box contained--you can see the video on my Instagram. I had been contemplating which set to get from Innersense Organic Beauty, and that was the first item I noticed! Their haircare smells like a dream, treats my hair like royalty and lasts for quite a while as a little goes a long way.
This set reads as color-safe, but technically ALL of their hair care is safe for colored hair.
I love the Intelligent Nutrients Hand Sanitizer. I had it in my purse at first, then transferred it to my kit for a large wedding I was styling. It is lightweight, non-drying and smells fresh, but not overbearing. I left it in my kit as so many people loved it!
The Pumpkin Glycolic Mask from Andalou Naturals is one of my favorite products of theirs. Loaded with Vit C, fruit stem cells, beta carotene and more--this mask gently resurfaces the skin, leaving a soft and glowing complexion. It spreads on easily, dries well and doesn't leave the skin feeling too tight afterward.
The Jasmint Pit Putty from Bumble & Bee Organic was really the only thing in this box that didn't work for me. I was bummed too, because it smells amazing! I love anything with Jasmine in it, and had never really combined it with mint before, It was fresh and feminine, and had a smooth buttery texture. It just didn't cut it for me in the odor-protection department, and since I'm in people's faces all day long, it's kind of a must!
I really liked the Java Skincare Demitase Lip Scrub, it was easy to use, really smoothed my lips easily and gently, and tasted like a morning latte. What's not to love? I had already discovered this brand not that long ago after connecting with its creator earlier this year. You can read more about their full line here.
I have had my eye on Sappho Organics for so long now, and keep getting sidetracked. I'm so glad they finally caught my attention with this Gitte Eyeshadow! Don't let anyone tell you the purple can't be neutral--anyone can wear this color! It is great to blend with browns, greys or greens, looks great as a smoked out look, or as a soft eyeliner. Loved this color!
I have been a huge fan of W3ll People for quite some years now. I love their creamy takes on traditional makeup, and this Bio Brightener is no different. It comes in an easy-to-use retractable tube and looks great over or under makeup. I am naturally prone to dark under eyes, so this product is a lifesaver!
The Bottega Organica Illuminate Eye Contour Cream must be a new product (or an old one), because I couldn't find any information about it on their website. I like Botegga Organica because their formulations are pure and their natural fragrance reminds me of a spa treatment I received in the mountains of Asheville, NC.
This eye cream is lightweight, effective and really did brighten my chronically dark under eyes.
Sometimes in cooler weather, my hands get dry and scratchy for no apparent reason. They catch on clothes and feel like handmade paper. It's super fun. I was excited to dip into the Organic Bath Co. Drenched Body Butter sample. It soothed my parched skin without feeling greasy, and was great to refresh my legs post-shave also. I gotta get my hands on a full-sized jar!
I am the girl who wears a bronzer year round. Since the current word to use is "contour", we will stick with that. This Alima Pure Contour Powder is great too as it is a soft enough color to wear on fair skin, or build for a more dramatic look. Their products are loose minerals and very long-lasting as a little goes a long way. This will be a staple in your makeup bag for sure!
This really was a fantastic treasure trove of a box! I discovered many brands I was not familiar with, and got to reunite with others I already use and love. Did you order a Best of Beauty Box?
