Loving Lately: Sante Cosmetics

Fairly frequently, I am approached by various skincare and cosmetic companies to publicly review their products. It’s part of what I love about being a professional makeup and Green Beauty blogger. It gives me the tremendous opportunity to be introduced to brands I may not have otherwise noticed.

With that said, it is my pleasure to introduce to you, Sante Cosmetics.

It is no secret that Europe as a whole has been in the forefront of advocating for clean skincare and beauty products. This movement of European conscious consumers began in the 1970’s.

“In 1975, a group of inspired and like-minded friends opened a shop, Lorien Goods, in Hanover, Germany. Their shop featured the few products available at the time that fit the values of the new, green movement. To expand their shop’s selection and to wholesale to other stores, the group began to import products from outside of Germany. In 1977, they decided it was time to begin manufacturing their own body care products and the company, Logona, was born.

In 1990, the company (now called Logocos) added a new line of natural care products, SANTE, to appeal to a younger consumer.

SANTE is committed to manufacturing and packaging body care products in an ecologically and socially responsible manner, and strict ingredient quality standards are of fundamental importance in SANTE’S product formulation and manufacturing. Our products utilize the highest quality, natural raw materials, such as: premium botanical oils, herbal extracts and essential oils derived from organic agriculture and wild-crafting.

In addition to rigorous ingredient standards, we also meet or exceed industry sustainability standards for minimizing resource consumption during manufacturing and for minimal and recyclable packaging for our finished products.”

I was pleasantly surprised by the colors I received. They were versatile, had great texture and applied evenly. The only downside to this brand that I noticed, was their use of Talc–which is an ingredient I aim to avoid. But otherwise, I was overall pleased with this brand.

I tried the Eyeshadow Trio No. 02 which was a gradient collection of purple tones. It made a great evening smoky eye! I paired it with the Eyeshadow Stick No. 02 which is a soft metallic silver. It held up splendidly, even under my eyes (which is a tricky place for me). I finished the look with Lipstick No. 11 which is a pale peachy-beige.

I also tried the Compact Powder No. 02 (which was a smidge dark for me), the Rouge No. 03, which is a golden shimmery mauve, Dipliner No. 01, which is a shimmery metallic bronze, perfected my pout with Lipstick No. 10 which is a sheer berry wine color, and finished with their Volume Sensation Mascara. I loved the mascara especially! While the colors of this set weren’t something I would typically choose, they looked great on me and I loved the finished result. The mascara though was perfect for me! I have long, thin lashes naturally–so this volumizing formula was a treat…and it really worked!! My lashes were long a full, I didn’t have much trouble with it flaking, and it has a pleasant grape smell even! Win win!

If you haven’t checked out Sante Cosmetics yet, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You will be glad you did! Enjoy!
